OAPI Country Information

The OAPI, Organisation Africaine de la Propriété Intellectuelle (Translated: African Intellectual Property Organization) is an intellectual property organization created in 1977 by the Bangui Agreement. Its members consist of 16 mostly French-speaking African countries.

The OAPI covers the following rights: patents, utility models, trademarks, industrial designs, trade names, geographical indications, copyright, unfair competition, integrated circuit layouts and plant variety rights.
